Your weekly dose of Arbury Road

It’s been a busy week at Arbury Road HQ, but we wouldn’t change it for the world! In case you missed anything this week, here’s your roundup of the top content from the past 7 days.

In a week that focused primarily on migration, we had some fantastic episodes of the podcast. To start, Giorgia and Francesca sat down with Members of the European Parliament and migration experts, Alessandra Moretti and Pietro Bartolo, to speak about this complex topic.

Earlier in the week, Lizzie was joined by some great guests to discuss refugees in Europe. More specifically, we were given some great insight into the role theatre – and the arts as a whole – can play in helping migrants settle into their new homes.

Paco picked up his pen for the first time in a while and produced this fascinating piece about the history of welfare in Europe and the missed opportunity that was the Beveridge Report.

As always, the week began with Paco and Dermot sitting down to digest some of the main news stories from the previous 7 days.
